Saurav Bhattacharyya Speaks at LTA/ITS Singapore National ITS Plan Closed Door Forum

Feb 10, 2006: Saurav spoke on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Standards at the National ITS Plan Closed Door Forum attended by individuals representing LTA, IDA, EDB, Stratech, Spring IT Standards Committee, and other organizations.

The goal of this forum was to share information and views among the various players in the ITS industry so that ideas and efforts can be harmonized and synergised, and collaboration endeavours can be generated. These players include transport, telecommunications and standard authorities, the academia, and developers/vendors of ITS.

 

 

Research Paper Presentation at ICICS 2005

Dec 9, 2005: Mohit presented at the The Fifth International Conference on Information, Communications and Signal Processing (ICICS 2005) held in Bangkok from December 6 – 9, 2005. Mohit presented his paper titled “Framework for Automated Application-Specific Optimization of Embedded Real-Time Operating Systems”.

 

 

Guest Lecture to Students of MS Programme in Advanced Information Technology (MSP-AIT)

Oct 4, 2005: Saurav Bhattacharyya presented at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (I2IT) in Pune, India. Students from Advanced Micro Electronics & VLSI Design and Advanced Embedded Systems Design attended his two hour lecture on Embedded Systems.

 

 

Saurav Bhattacharyya Speaks at Global Entrepolis in Singapore

Sep 28, 2005: Viometrix attended and spoke at the Biometrics Forum in Singapore. The forum was part of the Singapore Government's Global Entrepolis 2005 at which more than 10,000 entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, innovators and technocrats converged to discover the latest on various technology fronts.

Viometrix founder, Saurav Bhattacharyya, delivered a talk at the “Biometrics Forum: Your Key to the World” entitled “Voice in the Context of the Current Thrust in Biometrics” on 28th September.  The presentation was well received and we are encouraged to think there may be some commercial opportunities which have arisen from this event.

 

 

Mohit Sindhwani Lectures at NTU about Software for Embedded Systems

Sep 22, 2005: Mohit Sindhwani delivered six hours of lectures on Software for Embedded Systems. The lectures are part of a post-graduate course called Principles of Embedded Computing Systems, a core module for post-graduate students pursuing the Master of Science (MSc) program offered by the School of Computer Engineering at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore.

The lectures covered essential topics such as hardware from a software perspective, programming languages for embedded systems, and embedded and real-time operating systems.  Topics such as safety in embedded software and protection of embedded software were also discussed, and the T-Engine platform was introduced. In keeping with the central thread in the course, the lectures approached all topics from the view of NRE and TTM.

Mohit's lectures were held at NTU on Sep 6th and Sep 20th, 2005.

 

 

Saurav Bhattacharyya Speaks at Biometrics World 2005 in Singapore

Apr 30, 2005: Saurav delivered a talk at Biometrics World 2005 held in Singapore from Apr 27th to Apr 29th, 2005.  His talk was called “Analyzing the Latest Developments in Voice Based Recognition Technology”.
